The Evax facility was designed and built for our specific needs. Our team was involved in all aspects of the facility starting from the air handling system to the each piece of equipment. The Evax facility was purpose-built and meticulously customized to support the specialized extraction and production of vaccine adjuvants, integrating modular cleanroom suites, dedicated raw material handling zones, and purpose-designed extraction equipment to meet stringent regulatory and process-specific requirements. From the outset, facility layout prioritized unidirectional flow to minimize contamination risk, with segregated HVAC systems, GMP-compliant utilities, and real-time environmental monitoring to maintain precise temperature, humidity, and particulate controls. Extraction and downstream processing lines were configured for scalability and flexibility, combining solvent handling systems, high-efficiency separation units, and closed-transfer technologies to preserve adjuvant integrity and ensure operator safety. Analytical and quality-control laboratories were co-located to enable rapid release testing, while automated data capture and process control systems provide traceability, batch record integrity, and seamless integration with quality management workflows. Every element—from materials of construction to waste management and personnel training facilities—was selected and validated to support reproducible, high-purity adjuvant production that aligns with global regulatory expectations.
